Cooper Creek Dam
During the Summer of 2013, dam modifications were made for the Cooper Creek Dam, which is part of the Sutherlin Water Control District, located in Sutherlin, Oregon. The dam had an aging French/Trench Drain System that needed rehabilitation. HEBERLY ENGINEERING P.C. opted to leave the largest and deepest underdrain in place and install a new drain between the old drain and the north side of the spillway. The new drain was approximately 18” – 20” deep in places, in order to intercept sub-surface waterflow, allowing additional drainage and bringing an old system up-to-date.
